This Cabin is a compact dwelling for two occupants. It was designed to be used as cabin in a natural setting, but it can be permitted as a DADU. As a 400 SF structure, it can also take advantage of the exceptions that apply to tiny houses.

It’s a 1-story, one bedroom, one bathroom unit. A system of equal size doors conceals the wet areas (kitchen and bathroom) from the living areas. The remaining space is than free to be used as large open plan. For privacy, the sleeping area is raised in relation to the social area, and a curtain or shutters can provide a second layer of separation.

The roof eaves are offset to give space for a line of windows, which provide filtered ambient lighting even when the house is entirely closed off.

The kitchen doubles as a bar with an exterior covered sitting area.
